Deus Ex Revision

Hey there!

It's time for another update from Paris Catacombs. If you haven't read the previous article yet, scroll down a bit and you should see it.
First things first, we are happy to announce that the level is now 80% complete. That's a big step from last months 30%. Size of the map is already 16mb(at 80% complete) while the original only 2,54mb. Now thats a huge difference. What makes it so much bigger if its mostly vanilla layout? As you may remember, in vanilla catacombs the design was very plain... just empty boxlike-hallways here and there and that's pretty much everything what the level has to offer. Eventhough we use the old layout, it still looks like a whole new level now.

What have you accomplished during the past month?

*Built Bunker I from scratch(you know, where chad and his gang hangs out)
*Same goes for Bunker II, where the junkie sells medkits and darts.
*Added more areas that exists also in real world catacombs.
*Expanded original layout
*And of course, detailing original stuff.

Now, a few words about Bunker I. We decided to build it all over again because we think that it was a JOKE. Seriously, what kind of bunker is that? Biiiig roundy shit(ahem) with sooooo much space. Just take a look it:



Umm.. yeah, don't you agree that it's a little weird? If you do, then be happy because it's no longer there. We also built the Bunker II from scratch, which was the same exact piece of crap as Bunker I and III. At the moment, the only Bunker that is left to get "revisioned" is Bunker III, where the MJ12 have put up a base. Also, all these bunkers are/will be different from each other.

Ok, enough talk, time for some screenshots! Pictures may look a little too dark, but thats just part of the atmosphere and its really hard to include in these pictures. You know, this is one of those levels that requires total darkness in your room, no sunlight or anything just you and the game.
